Cultural beliefs are personal and exclusive to sects of people. Being culturally competent is something that is obtained by not only studying a specific culture/s but also being immersed in it by living or visiting the country or region of wherever you may find interest. There is no other comparable way of understanding the culture of Venezuelan people than visiting the country and if you speak Spanish you can conduct interviews or just have everyday conversations with people about larger topics like the economy or political issues. I would like to travel and spend time in south america and europe to get a better grasp on the Spanish language and to see the differences in the culture.
